Balancing body and mind

The balancing of Yin and Yang is essentially balancing the Sun and Moon energies of the body. What does this mean? They represent two forces … the energetic and physical body, and the calming, passive and mental body. When the two forces are balanced, equilibrium is present. The process of balancing both is known as Hatha yoga. Therefore both dynamic and restorative practices are equally important. Your role is to be aware of what is happening within, the teachers role is to also identify this and use the appropriate means to bring balance back.
